Default Looking for some advice

To All,

I'm a very happy Lexus owner and have had a 2007, 2010, 2013, 2017 ES 350's and a 2019 RX 350. I'm currently driving the 2017 ES 350 in Atomic Silver . The car has blind spot monitor with rear cross traffic alert, 17" split 10 spoke wheels,LED low/ bi-LED Headlamps, power rear sunshade,Luxury package with embossed stitch perforated leather trimmed interior with wood trim/console. Heated and ventilated front seats, power tilt and telescope steering wheel. Lexus memory system for driver's seat, outside mirrors and steering wheel. Remote keyless entry linked memory. Navigation, intuitive parking assist, Panorama Glass roorfand power moonroof, heated wood and leather trimmed steering wheel, rear spoilerTrunk mat with cargo net, wheel locks, rear bumper appliqué. List was $46,583 including destination. Car now has 40,400 miles on it .

I'm turning 75 next month and my wife and I are ready for a change. We have an opportunity to buy an ES 300h luxury edition with the Mark Levinson audio/nav package, 18" split 5 spoke alloy noise reduction wheels, hands free power open close trunk.

So, after 15 years and 4 ES350's and one RX350 we think we want to make the jump to the hybrid. We've read tons about the Lexus hybrid, mostly positive, some negative. Would like to hear from any folks that have gone from the es350 to the hybrid about the transition. I should add that after driving the RX 350 for a year we sold it. It was just to big for us. The 2017 ES 350 is very low mileage and in excellent condition. A couple of nicks on the door and one on the hood are just cosmetic. Tires are still good but will probably need replacement in the next 10K miles or so. All the equipment works like new. All service has been up to date and on time. n Thoughts? Comments?

We have a 2017 ES h and RX h and enjoy both with zero problems. Prior to the 2017 ES we had a 2015. Personal opinion, we find the 2019 and newer a much better improvement both interior and exterior. I had a 2020 ES h as a loaner for a day. Drove 58 miles and averaged 45 mpg. In today's world, I would only buy a hybrid or electric vehicle. We will never see gasoline under $3.00 a gallon maybe even $4.00 unless a new party is controlling D.C.

We have the 2016 ES300h, I felt it had more rear space than the 2018 ES, as its of a boxer design without the sloping roof line and also without the center tunnel (so the middle rear seat is usable). It too has everything the US spec has plus more (like Nanoe Air, Tri Zone Climate, Passenger Side Memory Seats). We also have the GS450h and the RX450h.

The biggest difference in everyday driving between the 4 cylinder and the 6 cylinder is the way the engine sounds, the 4 cylinder just doesn't sound as refined and it doesn't give out a growl during acceleration (it's more of a whine).

I have had Lexus hybrids for the last 10 years, did own a GS460 (v8) for a few years. I can't go back to a ICE car anymore after owning hybrids, there are just too many advantages with little drawback.

If you're getting a new ES, you don't want to be going back in specification, i.e. not having ML audio or not having semi-aniline seats, its going backwards.

The 2022 ES 300h hybrid is super nice. A friend of mine has the 2021 (so should be the same) and the car is fantastic. I highly suggest you test drive it especially if you are looking for luxury, comfort and great mileage over performance.

I am 76 and I can't say enough positive things about our 2016 ES300h. We bought it in 2018 with 18,000 miles. We have added 40K miles in 4.5 years. It is the most reliable and comfortable car I have ever known. The safety warning features also give me peace of mind as my eyesight and ability to turn my head have decreased in recent years. I only wish I could afford a new one.

In all the years J D Power has surveyed owners the ES is the most reliable of all vehicles they have ever surveyed.
