Outer Tie Rod End Leak
2015 ES 350
I hit a pretty bad pothole yesterday and wanted to check if everything is ok. Took a few pictures and accidentally found out leaking outer tie rod end on the passenger side. The rubber seal seems to be damaged somehow compared to the driver side.
I’m not sure if this is a big deal but I’d probably gonna get it fixed next service.
Just wondering how much work would it be to swap it out, and if a wheel alignment would be necessary? Should I get the part online and bring it to the shop?
Any help is appreciated!

If the mechanic is careful you won't need an alignment but that is not a certainty. That tie rod doesn't look right is it rattling? Get that taken care of ASAP I highly recommend you go with OEM 45460-80005 aftermarket tie rods are iffy. Many mechanics don't like you bringing in parts understandable since they don't make any money on them.

Maybe it's just the pic sorta looks like the joint is damaged could very well be an optical illusion. Have you ever done your own car repairs? This is an easy one especially since you are not in the rust belt.

I’m pretty sure I see the steel cylinder thing of the rod exposing, the picture uploaded is kinda blurry. I’m a few weeks away from my next oil change so I’ll have my mechanic to take a look at it when the car is lifted. Unfortunately I live in an apartment so I don’t even have a car jack lol
