Replacement battery for '17 ES350?
It's time to replace the original factory battery on my car. I have noticed that it may be a OEM Panasonic battery (or similar) and has an insulator that fits around it. When measuring the battery, I see that dimensionally, no standard US battery size matches it exactly. The closest I have found seems to be a 34R but still is a bit larger.
What size battery have you used to replace the factory one? Did the insulator still fit around it?
Thanks!
EDIT: ended up getting a group 24 battery and it fit well including the insulator. So that's that...

Well, I ended up answering my own question. I bought a group 24 battery and it fit well. The insulator fit on as well. I hope that helps you.

Replaced mine with a 24-F XHD (950 CCA) a year ago. No problems.

EverStart Maxx 24F is what I bought 4 years ago and still running great in FL heat. Comes with a 3 year replacement warranty and scored high in testing. Great deal for about $120.
I use an onboard battery monitor from Ctek and make sure to keep from going below 85% charge. With my short trips, I do a full manual charge to 100% about 1 time per month which seems to help with longevity in all 3 vehicles.

I like Costco (Interstate) for battery replacements. Don't go to the dealership for batteries, you'll pay 2-3x the price. I've had several in a row that had a worse life than the ones I got at Costco.
My understanding is you can't get a "real" Panasonic battery like the ones that new come from the factory. The Lexus dealer batteries are different.
