The IDs are correct. The car just fails when it tries to figure out location of each sensor. It does not display pressures at all because it does not know where to show them on the diagram.

By the way, in 2013 localization was only implemented on Lexuses. Toyotas would just have a single TPMS light with no reporting of individual pressures in the dash.

The display stopped working when you replaced a sensor?

That must be for the '13 only. My '14 has no trouble when I switch wheels seasonally and do the front to back rotation. It sometimes might take 5-10 minutes to "pick up" on the sensors and their location the first time but after that it's fine. I do use the reset as I set the alarm pressure lower for winter to accommodate some of the -30 to -40 C temperatures we get from time to time. Both sets of wheels have the same ID numbers so no car programming necessary.

Mine is '14 and it displays dashes with 4 Autel MX-sensors. Whether the cloned sensors get localized or not most likely depends on the sensors. Autel is constantly revising their sensors. I have it installed in four cars so far. It used to support only one single frequency - now it support both frequencies. It used to be metal stem only - now a rubber stem is available. The shape of the sensor also has changed over the years.

I just had a discussion with the supervisor at the tire shop where I got mine done. He tells me that as of 3, 4 years ago, Autel started producing sensors that were "dual frequency" (433 and 333 Mhz) and that when they clone them the frequency gets set to match that of the original as well as the ID#. He said that their shop just buys Autel "MX" sensors. I don't know if that helps or not but there it is.

(I think he meant 315 Mhz).

Just a general statement because technology keeps evolving, the sensors that show exact location are usually different. You can turn off the light with the basic generic ones but the location will not show up

Yeah, but Tootsall has all four Autel MX-Sensors and localizationn is working for him. I once had a combination of 1 oem and 3 Autel sensors with localization also working.

Good to know. I deal with strictly Dill and Redi Sensors. A little more expensive but the longevity seems to be good.
