What do you guys think ?
lm looking at two 2015’s. The first is one owner. No accidents. 74k miles asking 22,000. Maintenance hx is pretty good. There is one stretch where they didn’t get oil change for about 1.5 years or maybe 2 yrs from 30k miles to 45k or 50k. Drove it. Feels and looks good. Second one is 15 also 2 owner, 60k miles asking 23,900. This one had minor accident in like first months of ownership but no issues after. Maintenance is a bit better w oil changes every 6 months or so. So am I better w a one owner no accidents little more miles with good hx not flawless. But good. OR one with a little better maintenance but hx of minor accident???? Just looking for some advice

I don’t like accident cars. I’d go for the first one. Long time between oil changes isn’t that bad, IMO.

You’re right. I would also go with the first one.

You guys think 22k (plus taxes and fees)for a used 2015 ES w 74k miles is a good deal in this day and age? Or should I try to wait it out to see if prices drop? I currently own 13 Nissan Altima w 186,000 miles. It’s still running pretty good (knock on wood) but I’m gonna have to put some tires on it soon. I’m sure there’s some other things that will need done to it. Just don’t want sink too much money into it at this point. I don’t know if I should pull trigger and buy now or try to wait it out????

They are both at independent car lots. I don’t know if that’s good or bad? Both cars look exactly alike on inside except the one with accident has navigation. I’m kinda leaning to one without accident but now my question is do I buy now or is it smarter to wait a while longer? To see if prices drop?

Typically branded dealers will sell tradeins in decent shape on their own lots. Tradeins that are in poor shape will often get sent to autction. Independent dealers get a lot of their cars from auctions, cars come from dealers , rental car companies and other sources. Obviously that’s a general statement and when specifically looking at one car it could be different. It’s worthwhile asking where did the car come from and if they’ve done any work on it.

you can Google that topic for more info.

in terms of prices, I don’t think anyone here has a crystal ball, I certainly don’t. You can Google “will used car prices drop”, and you’ll find lots of opinions, many from those that have a good knowledge of the market. I don’t think there’s a definitive answer, but you’ll get an idea.

also some accidents are not reported, owners just get pay to get them fixed to avoid insurance claims.

good luck.
