Canister purge valve P0456 error

The PO456 error code indicates a small evap leak and does not necessarily mean the purge valve is bad. It could be a cracked hose, worn gas cap or some other problem in the system. A smoke test can be done by a repair shop to identify the leak. There are some videos on Youtube if you search for Toyota PO456 which show the valve location the 3.5 liter engine.

good info, thanks again! Shop said it’s probably gas cap (which is old), so we replaced with Lexus OEM cap & hopefully that will keep check engine light off for now.
