It would be interesting to find out the status of the newly re-tooled or rebuilt plant in Japan to be used for the Gen8. If it’s finished and ready to go, then a few months from now would be plausible. If still under construction, then 2026 more likely. Similarly, the status of the Georgetown KY plant being reconfigured for a different usage. Locals may know a lot as we, who lived near the VW plant, knew all about those things near the new plant site in suburban Pittsburgh back in the 1970’s. We locals, through our buddies who were local mayors and governmental officials, knew a good bit of inside info.

i'd side with you. as ive said the camry isn't even out yet. the ES usually comes a year after the camry. "New" camry is slated as a MY25 car, so naturally 8ES would be MY26 at earliest. Which means you may see it September 2025 at earliest.

Am I correct that your expectation of the 2025 Gen 8, then, is:
1) Only turbo 4 hybrid engines available (no v-6 and no non-hybrid option)
2) Styling, exterior, heavily refreshed but not all,new
3) Styling interior will be re-done
Should that be the case, I, for one, am out. I don’t like hybrids. I’ll either buy one of the last 2024 ES 350’s (price is already dipping to over 10% off sticker) or check out the Genesis G80 or maybe simply keep my perfect low miles 2021 ES 350.

I do disagree however, about what you’ve said about Toyota’s hybrid 4 cylinders. In my experience with their application in Lexus’ Lexus has done a great job at refining them. Like I’ve mentioned we own a 2020 ES 300h Ultra Luxury and in having experienced that powertrain in Toyota models it is remarkably refined, same goes to the RX500h’s powertrain which I’ve had the pleasure of sampling when they first came out. I do agree however, that the 2.4t by itself in models like the RX350 and the likes are not as refined and not up to the standards of Lexus, but in due time I’m sure they will refine it.

I tend to agree with some others here that this model is all we’ll see through the MY25 cycle. Just doesn’t make sense to me that there would not be any legitimate leaks or pics yet!
Personally I would love to see a twin turbo in the F Sport model. There should be more of an upside than just cosmetics. I would have preferred the F Sport instead of my UL.

I expect the 2025 ES will receive the entire powertrain portfolio of the Camry which are the 2.5 hybrid fwd/awd, and I expect the ES to receive the 2.4t hybrid awd from the crown and the RX. My assumption is that since all the other Lexus models are losing their V6s except the top end models, the ES will follow the same route.
