Instead of asking others reasons not to get an ES, ask yourself why you're interested in the vehicle and if it checks off the boxes for you. You're in an ES forum, you're not going to get many people, if any, stating reasons not to get one.

Our only (minor) complaint with the ES is that it's fairly low to the ground and not as easy to get out of (compared to my 2010 Ford Taurus or any SUV). The new Toyota Crown looks like it might be better in that regard but I think it's kind of ugly.

I recommend the hybrid over the V6 version, unless you have some real desire for worse MPG and noticeable shifts of the transmission. The hybrid is quieter and smoother.

Have my new 2021 ES 350 two years now and am perfectly satisfied. Low maintenance, all systems bullet brood.
Front end a little low to ground—-watch those parking barriers, you’ll scrape the underside of bumper.
Find a new 2022 and save some money or a dealership demo or loaner, maybe. Pretty much same car as 2023, as they near the end of this model run. Five or ten thousand miles on these cars are insignificant.
I passed on F Sport Edition. Make sure it’s worth the extra money to you first. Not to me.
Get the rear spoiler—-nice touch.
17” wheels are a bit quieter. I got ‘em. But check out Premium package.
My ICE is a quiet, smooth delight.
Ten year, 100,000 mile car easily.
In this day of incredibly expensive cars, the 350 ES can be a remarkably great value if you “buy it right.”.

I have a 22 F Sport and I just reached 5K miles. I absolutely love it. My only complaints are it isn’t AWD and doesn’t have a panoramic moonroof like on the Ultra Luxury.

There are lots of positives.
Below are some negatives:
1) The traditional fossil fuel burning 3.5 drinks; though the forthcoming all new 2024-30 8th gen ES will get explosive acceleration yet more economical 2.4 Turbo Hybrids, though the refinement remains to be seen.
2) The FWD-based chassis has a large turning circle, steering with little feel, and lazy to change directions.
3) The high mount touch screen is not the latest large horizontal high mount touchscreens used in the latest Lexus NX, RZ and RZ450e; though the forthcoming all new 2024-30 8th gen ES will get the same as NX, RX and RZ.
4) Does 7.5ES it have wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto?

The V6 has a lot of power for FWD car with no limited slip differential. But if this mattered to you then you probably wouldn’t be looking at this car anyways. There’ll be torque steer and peeling out accelerating around turns. It’s a great V6 though.
Wife and I have a 2023 IS350 F Sport and a 23 ES300h. Love them both but they’re very different. The ES is a bit of a boat but incredible in traffic. Thr IS eats up the open road.

the es300 hybrid is weak when compared to the 350 so I would never get it. I even drive the 350 in sports mode at all times
