Default Anyone change front seats from standard to the F Sport seats?

Seems like a decent chance they’re plug and play replacements

Probably not realistic given the cost. Assuming even you'd have no issues with airbags and all. Could be realistic when the car is 10+ years old.

I don't know about cost but I see no reason why they wouldn't swap without any issues. Perhaps you can find one in a junkyard with good seats and the cost would be a fraction of the dealer cost of a new seat??

The seat frames and electrical connections are probably the same, so a swap if probably possible. I am baffled as to why, however.

I find the F seats more comfortable, although the current ESF seats aren’t quite as comfortable as the current ISF seats for my body.

Assuming the cushion assemblies fit its around $1500 per side in parts, the headrests alone are $500 each!

I would do the drivers seat for sure if possible. Have to use a seat cushion from Amazon in a $54,000 car!

I also use a seat cushion for longer road trips. I doubt a "sport" seat would be softer than a regular "luxury" or "ultra luxury" seat.

For my size and body shape (6ft, skinny build), the F Sport and I say the F sport seats have some firmness to them, but they're not hard. It's enough cushioning to keep you comfortable for the long run and I think theseat fits me just about perfectly. I haven't felt any fatigue in the 12500mi I've put on it so far and the longest trip without stopping was 2.5hrs. In my old TLX, my legs and back would tire out on an equal trip, but the F Sport seat has been comfy as can be. I see a few people on here with the standard seats that complain about the cushion being too hard, but just by comparing some images it seems the only difference is just the seat design maybe?

My issue with the standard or lux seats is the side bolsters on the bottom cushion are a little firm and narrow for me (175lb 6 feet tall) and the seat back cushion sort of has a mid back lump that pushed me forward. It’s only an issue after driving more than an hour. The F seats have a more contoured bottom cushion, and the seat back cushion is curved almost like a hammock for my back.

Wife has IS350 F Sport and those are amazing, the ES F seats are pretty close.

Great way to describe the F sport seats. I feel that they're a seat you can kind of more naturally sink into instead feeling like you're sitting on top of something like a park bench, or the luxury trim seats in this case....

I test drove a 2019 ES350. It had the ersatz leather seats. VERY uncomfortable!!! My wife hated them and it was a dealbreaker.
It seems that it is short and pressures your thigh. How Cheap!!
We are not very big people and were very disappointed in this.
The "Luxury" has the ability to extend.

A new word to learn:
Ersatz is defined as an artificial substance that replaces something genuine.
AKA fake leather , or as Lexus calls it "NuLuxe"

Excellent - I'm happy to advise that I prefer the ersatz material over the real stuff But I get many people hate the FSport seats. In fact, they were a deal breaker for my wife's RX back in 17 when we bought that car. Love them though in the ES. Much less aggressive bolstering that the RX.
