I use the circular pop up type for my vehicle. Last week we had a heat wave in Cali and on the first day the cabin was near 100 degrees when I went to lunch. The second day, I decided to use the handy dandy remote start option with the Enform app a few minutes before going to lunch to cool off the cabin and it's safe to say I'll be doing that all summer.

Default Front windshield sunshade

With sunnier weather coming soon, I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a good quality shade for the windshield on my 22 ES350UL. Does Lexus make their own? Any suggestions for type or source would be appreciated.

I have a Walmart special and been using it for years, even prior to owning the ES.

I bought a Covercraft sunshade that is custom fitted to your Lexus windscreen. Also bought one for the Honda and my corvette. They run about $50.00 but are folding cardboard that lasts and fold up to about 8" wide. You can also select a matching color to your wheels.

I still have my cover craft in my garage. i still need to toss it in the garbage. i'd sell it but i modified it for the Fitcam by cutting a little notch out. it's a tad rough so probably not much market for it. but yeah i'd go cover craft. still need one for the All Mighty Tesla ('AMT' for my fans here). The folding one i got off amazon fits nicely but it's massive and unwieldly due to how big the AMT windshield is.

I bought this one as at the time when I bought there was no stock for Coverctaft, oddly enough. Works just as well and was cheaper by $15-20 at the time. Even with my Fitcam unit it still fits perfectly.

Looks like they're about double that cost these days.

I like the “ Eclipse “ brand retractable sunshades. Not having to fold up and then stash somewhere is wonderful. They are custom ft for your vehicle.
I am just a satisfied customer.

+ 1 for Covercraft, I got it from eBay (for $67.80 in 2019) before I got the Lexus lol

I bought a universal one for like $4 from some random store and it attaches to my windshield by a suction cup on the top corners and it works perfectly fine. Is there a reason why you guys are spending that much on a sunshade? Am I missing something? What else can I spend money on? LOL

I prefer the roll up type with Velcro tie. I’ve owned both types. I find roll up type to be easier to deal with.
