Touch Screen (ES 2019 FSport)

Care to make bets if and when an OTA software update will come that disables much of the functionality while the car is moving?

Wife has a 23 IS350FS with touch screen using the older infotainment software plus the console touchpad, I have a 23 ES300h with new infotainment software and touch screen only.
Ideally I like using both the pad and the touch screen in her car after living with both cars for a while. But I’d rather have a dial or d-pad like device and could live without touch screen plus it looks way better pushedbfather back and integrated.
Tesla? Can’t get past the styling inside and out, I don’t care how great the software is. If I could afford to lease a new one every two years I’d have a Taycan or Panamera hybrid but alas no.

I have an IS 500 LE and every time she steps in my car she mentions that mine has a touch screen…

Had the touchscreen one on our Prius. The screen was always a mess with smeary fingerprints. My 2021 350 ES has the touchpad and I’m very pleased with it. Clean screen all the time! So be careful what you wish for!

To summarize: We didn’t dislike the NX, but we are much happier with the RX and feel it is a much better match to the ES in terms of sound levels and ride comfort.
