Default 2023 ES350 Rear Speaker volume Very low

The speakers mounted on all the doors sounds VERY low compared to the sound from the dash board speakers, especially the rear door speakers

Fader/Balance is at the center . Anyone had similar issues?

My 23 ES300h is the same, can barely hear anything from the rear speakers even with my ear up to the speaker.

That's just how they are designed, the sound is focused at the front, maybe to imitate a live band sort of vibe, maybe because music is recorded in stereo (2 channels) anyway, so this system is more of a stereo+ with rear just for ambience/fill, or maybe for cost cutting on the amp and rear speakers in order to maximize the quality of the front with the available audio budget (aka decent front focused sound vs mediocre surround sound).

I think the system sounds good when you get used to it, clean and focused, not bright nor boomy, certain genres of music can benefit from this while others will suffer.

Didn't take me long to get used to it because I'm used to high end audio equipment which is based on stereo speakers at the front, I think it sounds quite pleasing with jazz, classical, lounge and acoustic.

Here we go again! Plenty of varied information is available in the last 15 to 20 threads. Search is your friend but don't say I didn't warn you!

This is every ES built since 2019, it's by design. Normal. "within spec".

Understand this behavior is by design. But don't understand the logic behind it.
Anyone seen similar setup on any other cars?

Not completely true. There was a TSB/revision in May of 2020. I recall this as it was happening live -- you may be a bit new to the ES sub so that's why you missed it, but the problem was worse before -- not always the same since 2019. It was fixed to a degree, but still people complain it's not enough.

Yup. My 2019 has the “improved” amp and the improvement is very modest. I recommend you search using the search link on the upper right hand corner of this ES subforum. You will find lengthy discussions on this topic, and the only viable solution seems to be a custom system. Bottom line it is working as designed, unfortunately.

Last I checked, it was 151, but who's counting. Better than Ambien. Common side effects ( of this topic) include: irritability, frustration, fits of rage, bouts of frustration, deliriousness, delusion, auditory anomalies, headache, migraines, loss of appetite, diarrhea of the mouth, diabeetus, high blood pressure, self-inflated sense of self-worth, opinionateditis, Napolean Complex... Seek immediate medical attention for the following: Narcissistic personality disorder(a mental condition in which people have an inflated sense of their importance, a deep need for excessive attention and admiration/attention-seeking behavior, troubled relationships, and a lack of empathy for others.) AKA "Tesla-itis"

Yeah i posted that it's still not resolved to people's satisfaction, despite the TSB. i'm not searching this topic, it's been finished. just showing the OP and other newer members to the sub.

Have you tried moving the fader towards the rear?

I’ve tried this. To me, this has the same effect as turning the volume down.
