Default Rust

How problematic is rust on Lexus vehicles? I've found a few I'm interested in; however, they are located in IL, OH etc and I'm in the southeast. These are 21 or 22 model years so they haven't been there long, but they have been exposed. Has the damage already been done or is it safe to purchase and maybe get the frame cleaned and coated?

Expect them to have some surface rust on suspension parts but other than that they are very well coated and covered.

No rust issues to be concerned about...

My neighbor just inherited his mother-in-law's white 2007 ES with 137,000 miles on it. Interior is perfect and most of the exterior is good. Runs fine.
There is rust developing and showing in the places you'd expect. But that's after 15 years in New England and 137,000 miles. Hard to complain about that.

I've been using Blaster Surface Shield as a preventative and no complaints so far. This
