Good afternoon, new to the forum. I've owned a RX350 before but interested in ES350 and want to know how hard it is to get out of this vehicle if you're tall, I'm 6'2" and if the ground clearance isn't high enough it can be hard standing up. Nearest Lexus dealership is 90 minutes away, thought I'd ask before making a long drive. Thanks

It's okay, I'm 6' 0" and about 6' 2" with boots on and it's somewhat annoying since you need to be careful swinging your legs out. I'm also 27 so I don't have issues moving etc

Its like any other sedan, they're more difficult to get out of than SUVs.

Knees are making it harder to get out. The door latch is now dual purpose!!! One for door, One for a lift bar for me.

I'm 6' and have both an RX and ES - no issue getting in or out of either one (and I'm not 27

That’s really cool!
As I get older the wife and I find getting in and out of low cars isn’t as easy as it used to be. My ES and her IS are probably our last two low cars.
The 7ES is lower than the typical family sedan. If you’re over 50 or have flexibility issues it might be a prob.

We traded in a Ford Taurus for the ES and it is noticeably harder to get out of because of the low sitting position, even for my wife who is only 5' 3". It's really our biggest complaint. I thought about getting a Toyota Crown instead but went with the ES anyway. You do get used to it, though.

I'm 6'1". I do what I have done in other sedans. I hold the door with the inside grab handle or at least the arm rest, and get my right hand on the top of the window nearest the hinges. Then pull myself out with arms, abs and legs rather than just legs.

I used to grunt when getting in and out of the ES. So I like to perform the grunt test. If you're 30, grunts should be relatively mild. Allow a slight increase in volume and frequency of grunts for every +2 years on top of 30.
I do find with an SUV now, I grunt much less if at all, compared to my ES.

36 squats per day will get you to an easy out. That is what I did. For my old classic 57 Chev with no power steering I had to go to the gym and do an upper body workout. Laugh but those work.
