2019 es trunk problem
Often when I push the button to open the trunk lid it opens part way and the drops, usually hitting me in the head as I get stuff out. It doesn’t fi it every time and won’t at the dealer. I showed them a video of it occurring but they said lexus. won’t repair without a mechanic verifying. So much for great Lexus reputation!

As long as you have documentation that you presented the problem to the dealer while under warranty, they should fix it after the warranty expires assuming the problem persists/gets worse.

Bit of a thread hijack, but I've wondered about my trunklid with the spoiler on it. That obviously makes it heavier; I wonder whether they adjust the strength of the lift mechanism in any way to hoist the extra weight. If I had to guess, I'd doubt it. That makes it doubly interesting that some people's trunk lifting mechanisms aren't getting the job done if they DON'T have the added burden of the spoiler.
