RCTA & PCS Permanent Disable
2023 ES300H - The PCS and RCTA keeps coming back on when starting the car, and is driving me mad whenever it comes on, it’s is never needed. Does anyone know how to keep it disabled permanently? Can’t be bothered to remember disabling them every time driving it. Thanks.
Satisfied with the car overall except its beyond annoying safety features.

You can’t disable PCS but you can disable RCTA, with Techstream.
Also, you can make the PCS stay in it’s lowest position.

ESh can you permanently turn off the school zone warning with techstream? Don't know how it is with new ES system but on RX forum a big warning on screen even on a school torn down 10 years ago and of course doesn't know school hours or schedules and can't be turned off. This supposedly touted intelligent new system is actually dumb by not providing correct info.

I think that system came for 2023 models and I never had a chance to check the new system so I don’t know. I suppose it is possible.

Check if you can turn it off with $9 carista subscription and a little bluetooth dongle on amazon. its been a while since ive played with all that ICE stuff but you should be able to mess around with the dongle and disable stuff.

Trading time for me is real near but don't know if I want to put up with all the new distracting over aggressive warnings. Lexus wants you to take your eyes off the road and try to figure out what the beeping is all about which is counter intuitive to safety. Some can be turned off and others can't. I have not experienced any of this personally but looking at RX forum to see how dissatisfied with new system the people are. This is probably the way it will be from now on with all manufactures so we will eventually have to put up with it.

Yeah, it took time to get used to wearing a seatbelt back in the 80's, too.
My 85 year old parents have a 2019 ES. They always complain of LKA constantly nagging them. After following them once, I understood why. They've never complained of PCS and RCTA, though. Has something changed since 2019? My Tesla doesn't have Rear Cross Traffic Alert and I miss it. I have to pay better attention now!

Right no audible RCT alert, just visual view the camera/large 15" screen which is easy to see clearly. Also as of a recent update, AEB now works up to 124mph, and works in reverse. So ultimately the functionality is there, just no audible alert in reverse (that I know of) I have not tested it.
