With regard to depreciation, I have a helpful visual representation for you. Try this enlightening experiment: hold a heavy brick at shoulder height and then release it. The speed at which the EQS's depreciation drops will make the brick's descent seem like a casual stroll in the park!

Anyone who knows me well would quickly notice my attention to detail for such matters.. 😃 I intended to present a visual representation of what was mentioned in a humorous yet effective way. Additionally, in agreement with your opinion, I believe that anyone who purchases this car either has an excessive amount of money and doesn't care, or they have very poor judgement... in my opinion. I will enjoy it for 2 years or less and move on to the next.

The MSRP for my new EQS was $112,295, which I managed to negotiate down to $77k, resulting in $35k in savings. I prefer leasing vehicles and was able to get my special order 22 Ultra Lux for $47k, instead of $56k, due to my relationship with a Lexus contact. However, the rates were not the best, and my monthly payment for the 3-year lease was $701. This was a good deal considering the market conditions at the time. When I picked up my 22 UL it was during the period with ADMs and nearly no discounts on any autos.
Regarding the 23 EQS, it was leased for a period of 2 years as a One-Pay, paying $17,934. This works out to $747 a month for 24 months, which is only slightly higher than what I paid for my $56k Lexus. I hope this provides more context and clarification.

I kid. Looks like a sweet car. I sincerely hope it serves you well.

If you "buy" this car, it will depreciate at least 20% right out of the door LOL and after 1 year, probably 33.33+%, that if you sell in a fair market, if sell/trade to a dealer add 15% more to the depreciation.
All EVs are selling 25% - 33% off from MSRP and still can't sell after Tesla cutting their price down almost 20%+ for all models. Is everyone going back to gas, no, market is just slowing down overall, gas cars can't sell either. We are moving forward to the future, it's EV.
