Ya - That part didn't make any sense to me either.

Search YouTube for the story of a Hyundai Ionic one year old that could need a new battery for $60k, more than the car cost new. Hmmmm, maybe now we see why the EV market is going ice cold. And of course Hyundai's best warranty denied the claim.

Hmmm, color me skeptical. Other cost estimates are way lower, at least in the US. I think this video is either misleading or there are other factors at play here.

I'm sure you have a point here but what does Hyundai have to do with this guy changing from an $50000 ES to a $110000 BMW or Mercedes as an even trade?

It's really not relevant other than trying to imply that because 1 Hyundai EV needed a new battery replaced that ALL EVs are junk and failing. Not a strong argument, nor relevant, nor factual.

I found it odd that the window sticker for the Mercedes did not list any crash test ratings. Everyone knows Teslas are safe when in a crash, and they've done testing to that end. However, nothing for this EQS? No stars rating?!

That said, there are some crash test videos available for the EQS. It's a solid performer.
Here's the EQS SUV crash test against a smaller Mercedes EQA:

Usually expensive $100,000+ vehicles aren't crash tested by the IIHS. If you look at an S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, etc you'll usually find the same thing.

Thanks for these! I did not know they did not test the expensive cars. If that is the case, then how are their ratings and safety established? Just because a car has a lot of technology in it does not necessarily make the actual vehicle safe in an accident, imo. I think testing is a good thing!
