2023 ES350 No Seat Memory
I am posting this in case somebody else has the same problem.
I have a brand-new ES and could not get the seat memory to work. The selling dealer is 1,000 KM away and the servicing dealer is 150 KM away. Didn't want to make the trip in case it was operator error, so I dug into it myself.
Reviewed the data list for the seat controller with my scan tool. The saved settings for all three memories and all actuators were pegged at a value of 32768, so it was obvious nothing was being saved. It turns out the seat controller needed to be initialized. Here is the procedure:

- Operate and hold the slide power seat switch **** to move the power seat to the foremost position. Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has stopped.
- Operate and hold the reclining power seat switch **** to move the seatback to the foremost position. Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seatback has stopped.
- Operate and hold the lifter power seat switch **** to move the power seat to the lowermost position. Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat has stopped.
- Operate and hold the vertical power seat switch **** to move the seat cushion to the lowermost position. Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat cushion has stopped.
- Operate and hold the cushion switch **** to move the seat cushion to the rearmost position. Continue holding the switch for 1 second after the seat cushion has stopped.
