Those are similar to the Maxlife I have but rated for shorter tread life. Both are great touring tires.

GY Max on my RX350, ComfortDrive in the ES300h. Quiet, comfortable, low rolling resistance, but much better wet traction than Michelin EOMs.

Over 300hp on a FWD car without a limited slip differential means any tire will struggle for traction while accelerating especially in a turn.

Not really practical when there’s likely years between them. The Michelin CC2 seems like an all around great tire, but doesn’t get the highest marks for quietness.
I love the Michelin CrossClimate 2's on our 2017 RX350. We don't notice any tire noise. Wondering if anyone out there has these on their ES-350 since we'll be needing new tires for that car soon.

I care more about tread life than noise. Music drowns everything out in that regard

Yes, but some struggle more than others. I replaced my OEM tires at 200 miles for this exact reason and saw improvement. Then I drove a service loaner with OEM tires some months later and unintentionally noticed that the problem was indeed worse on OEM tires than I'd become used to.

The Bridgestone's were an easy replacement for me. They are complete crap and I say that because I've had Michelin's on previous cars as I have Bridgestone's. They also get some of the worst reviews on Tire Rack and agree with those. I got the Michelin Primacy Tour AS and am more than happy with them. IMO they are more quiet. They have better cornering, better traction in dry and wet, better stopping distance, etc. I have seen 0 difference with mpg's between the 2.

How recently have you bought the car?
I remember when I purchased my 2019 RX350, they came with hideous Bridgestone Ecopias.
I called the dealership with 10 days of purchase and asked for tire swap with another OEM option Michelin Premier (quiet, better ride quality)
They asked for $300 labor for a tire swap and i gladly jumped on the offer.
Talk to your salesperson - you may be surprised what they are willing to do for you, if they want to keep you happy.
Good luck.

We have them on our 2019 ES350 FSport and love them. I agree that they're not for everyone. I was trying to choose between the Michelin Pilot Sport AS4's and the CrossClimate2. I have the AS4's on my Infiniti and they're a great tire on the Infiniti, but we wanted a smoother, quieter ride on the Lexus. We had CrossClimate2's on our previous ES350 and they did great on our hill on snowy days. We live on a very steep hill and get snow a couple of times each winter and needed something with a better snow rating.

Yep, we also have a very steep driveway with a compound curve and occasional snow - so the CC2's are perfect. Buyers should remember that they are directional tires.

The 19 ES300h is my wife's car. Original tires were Michelin and were fine. For replacement, I was looking for 1) safety, particularly in rain and light snow, 2) comfort, 3) tread life, 4) value. Ended up getting the Bridgestone WeatherPeak. Very happy with them after about 2k mi.

Just as an aside, my 2020 GLS450 I bought last November had the Michelin CrossClimate tires on it. Recently replaced with Continental CrossContact LX25s, and happy with them.

Thanks everyone for your input. Very much appreciated. your comments helped confirm my research … Michelin Primacy Tour AS - standard load (94V). Odd that some retailers only carry the XL load (98V) while others offer both standard load and XL. Since I’m interested in smooth, quiet and comfortable, I’m going with the standard load and speed rating (94V) that came with the car as OEM. Thanks again. This forum is very helpful.

Any comments if 17in wheels make the ride noticeably smoother in comparison to 18in?

Very pleased with the ride on my 17” tires (Michilen) that came with my 2021 ES 350. Like the looks of the 18” better but I’m willing to go for the ride over the looks. I don’t know how much difference the 1” size would make actually. I’d also like to hear from someone who has owned both.
