This, like cooled seats, was a feature I once scoffed at - until I had it, tried it and now really like them both! Yea, first world comfort item maybe, but they're nice.

Interesting - now I want to double check mine since I also have a 19! No wood on mine though so not sure if that make a difference.

Funny, I had to do the same thing - but only because I was heading out anyway. Anyway, I agree with your post, and might add that both our 2015 ES and 2016 NX only heated the 9 & 3 positions. As far as I know, the 2019 ES might be the first Lexus with entire wheel heated?

I also checked mine just now - the heating top is barely noticeable and bottom around the FSport logo is definitely not warm -. but the 9/3 or 10/2 is where it's needed most anyway and that part is nice and toasty on a cold winter day.

You are correct Doug...2019 was the first year - to the best of my knowledge - that Lexus heated the entire wheel. My 2013 definitely did not have a 360 degree heated steering wheel.

Because it was all wood except for the 3, 6 and 9.

I stand corrected. The steering wheel in my 2024 ES350 UL does get warm all the way around. In the places (top and bottom) where there are wood inserts, the wood part, of course, does not warm up, but the back side of that part of the wheel does heat up.
My previous RC with a heated steering wheel only had heating elements at the 3 and 9 spots; this is a nice upgrade.
