That's one of the reasons I bought my new 2024 ES 350. I keep my cars 10 years plus and drive less than 5000 miles a year. I don't need to deal with a battery replacement after the warrantee expires.

Exactly same as my situation. I may simply sit tight with my beautiful 2021 ES 350. Only 14K miles on her now and, at that rate, absolutely should be good for an other 15 years, the end of my driving years.

And my 2019 350 UL is pristine with 11,500 miles on the clock. It ain't goin' nowhere... Love my fast and smooth V6...

I had the same V6 in my 2013 Avalon. Only 48,000 in 11 years and just basic maintenance. If it road as nice as my new ES 350, I wouldn't have sold it. That was the 268 HP. It had good get up and go. I want to see how the new 302 HP moves but I'm still on break-in miles. Yes, I'm changing oil and filter around 1000 miles.

You made a good decision and I'm quite sure you'll enjoy the smooth and powerful V6 under the hood... GOOD LUCK!

It's a shame how lazy the "new" Camry is, but also expected as SUVs/crossovers get the development dollars. Expect to see future cars get the back burner. At least Honda managed to give the appearance of an all-new design with all new sheet-metal whereas Toyota largely re-used the same doors and just gave the front the bottle-nose Lexus RX treatment. The interior is the more decent upgrade, in red. In other colors it looks meh. Not a fan of the lobster claw "hook" type tail lights and headlights. Those don't age well and get updated at the mid cycle refresh. Toyota did this for the 2012 camry already. and honda did the hook tail lights with the last gen accord.

At least the Lexus ES starts with a much better looking version than the Camry so my hope is something based on ES should look decent. You guys think the next ES (2026 probably) will get the same doors as 2019 ES? if so, would you be disappointed? Or do you think it will get a Honda-style re-skin with all new exterior metal?

Based on that "official" grayscale cartoon drawing some poster posted up a while ago, it appears Lexus is largely recyling the 7ES and giving it really slim/angular headlights with a really pointy front bumper. but the side looks largely the same.
