Default Interior Lighting question

My 2019 ES350 (which I just bought) has very dim interior lights when the doors are open. I assumed these could be "turned up" but the owner's manual has no mention of it.

Am I wrong? Is this the best Lexus can do?

If so, should I replace with LED lights? I did that in my 2012 ES and that were the treat.

Thanks.

They are all LED, but that is what it is. I assume your interior is black?

No, the interior is a mocha brown. Weird, they are so dim as to be almost useless.

Yes, they all come on. The footwell lights are barely visible. The rest are just not that bright at all.

Do you think I can replace them with brighter LEDs?

Did you increase the brightness of the footwell LED-s?

I agree in my 2020 more light is needed and I have tan interior. This is what it is (dim).

I am not having any luck finding the bulb sizes and amps. Is that somewhere in the owners manual that I am not locating?

Interior lights is the first think I look to change whenever I get a new car but I think the LED chip is soldered to the housing itself? Could be wrong on the technical part but almost positive you can't change any bulbs, other than the amber lights in the headlight

I usually use this website to reference bulb size/type but it says not serviceable by user

Your cited website is only correct about the front side marker and turn signal lights being bulb types for the Bi-LED headlights; however, that isn't correct for the Triple-Beam LED headlights where those two lights are unchangeable LEDs enclosed within the sealed headlight unit assembly.

For reference, if you look at the lexusguide.net Lexus ES (XZ10) Service Manual's Lighting System (for Gasoline Model) - System Diagram (scroll down to the web page's bottom for the "HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT (for LED Type Turn Signal Light)" and "HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT (for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light) (for TMC Made)" [and (for TMMK Made)] system diagrams) you can see the bounding box for the Triple-Beam LED headlight unit assembly; i.e., "HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT (for LED Type Turn Signal Light)", includes the LED symbols labeled "Turn Signal Light" and "Side Marker Light". Whereas, the bounding box(es) for the Bi-Beam LED headlight unit assembly; i.e., "HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY CIRCUIT (for Bulb Type Turn Signal Light) (for TMC Made)" [and (for TMMK Made)], does not include the incandescent light bulb symbols labeled "Turn Signal Light" and "Side Marker Light". (There's a hybrid model version of the linked web page but there's no difference in headlight unit assembly diagrams.)

Just in case you are referring to the door courtesy lights. Those are easy changeable. You can even use the laser projection logo lights which are brighter that OEM. Also, you can add the illuminated door sills very easily.

Thanks, I was planning on adding the projector. How hard is it to install the sill. That looks a treat!
