Default Pricing on 2024 ES350 Ultra Luxury (Demo Unit)

Hi there! I'm in the market for either the 2024 ES350 F Sport 2 or Ultra Luxury trims. Unfortunately the stock seems fairly limited here in Canada, so ultimately there are two options (after ruling some out due to color preferences):

1) Brand new F Sport 2 for MSRP
2) Demo unit Ultra Luxury for $8,000 CAD (~$5,930 USD) off MSRP -- final cost would be about $59,000 CAD (~$43,720 USD)

Demo unit has 6,000 km (~3730 miles) on it; confirmed it wasn't a loaner and has had no accidents. The sales rep briefly mentioned the warranty has likely been in effect for 3-4 months already, so I suspect a 6 month maintenance may be required soon. I will confirm the actual age of the vehicle at our next meeting though since 6,000 km seems quite high if it's only a 3-4 month old demo.

That said, would this be considered a good deal with the discount or are there some other things to consider? I have never purchased a demo unit with more than 1,000 km so am looking for any kind of guidance/advice here. Would the resale value say 5-10 years down the line be greatly different based on the trims? Thank you very much in advance!

Fac that it’s a Demo doesn’t bother me and 3730 is not significant. Good many miles for a demo car of 3-4 months —-betcha one of the office people also drove it. Check production date on metal plate in door jamb.
I believe records will show you as first and only owner and my understanding is warranty begins from day of transfer to you—-first owner.
However,I’d like to see a better price, as close to that kind of discount can be found on brand new models with no prior use, though maybe not ultra lux. But 2025 model year is on the horizon and in a few months, your car will be last year’s 7th gen model. I’d seek a larger discount. No harm in asking.

^^^ This! Also confirm if it will be sold as a discounted "New Unit" or a "Used" one; specially if it'll be financed. Usually the finance APR is higher on used units.

Ask for a bigger price drop, but I still cannot believe it wasn't used as demo. How can they drive 6000 km for 3 months with a demo car?

It's a loaner/fleet/demo/floor/tester vehicle that everyone used it. LOL how can it has 3730 miles after 4 months, that's like 1000 miles per month. That's like regular use

It's basically an used car with "new" title on paper, will it be registered as new car?

Whatever the MSRP for that "demo" unit, you need to ask for at least 20% - 25% off. Research on how much for an used one with that mileages, 2023 or 2024 model etc... and you go from there...

Thanks a lot for the input everyone -- will definitely go back and ask for a better price on the demo!

Side question (sorry if it's off topic): is there any point in asking for anything off the F Sport 2? It's the color I'm hoping for but they don't have any in the area -- they'd have to do a dealership swap on incoming inventory apparently. Sales rep mentioned most he can do would be $2,000 CAD ($1,485 USD) off during our first meeting.
