Sorry, thought you meant you bought but never use PANO roof.
Agreed. I’ve never seen one w’out a sunroof.

According to the (US) Lexus ES web site's FEATURES comparison table, the panoramic glass roof is an add-on option for the ES 350, ES 350 Luxury, ES 350 Ultra Luxury, and ES 350 F Sport Design models.

That said, I think you're correct that trying to find a base model with a panoramic glass roof option would be hard. That's assuming Lexus would even build such a configuration as a routine build and not a special order build.

Agreed and he doesn’t want the $1630 tech package nearly all luxury level models seem to have—-rare to find a Luxury without that navigation, etc. Gotta’ be flexible, I guess.

Read post #5. I tried to order an Ultra Lux model w/o any sunroof pano or otherwise. Salesman said it couldn't be done. And Lexfinally tried to order one too w/o success. Mine was opened the day I got the car 5 years ago and not since...Roof and shade stay closed. Same as Mikemu. I think that if you buy a UL ES you're getting - and paying for - a pano roof want it or not. Shouldn't be that way but Lexus makes more money by forcing options on buyers.

To be clear, I tried to order an Ultra Luxury without a PANORAMIC sunroof. I don't believe any ES can be had with no sunroof at all, and I didn't try.

Gotta jump in here. We ordered our 23 ES350 UL without the pano or the spoiler and in the colors we preferred.. Paid $2K down, placed the order on 3/14/23, was built the week of 4/10/23, we took delivery 4/28/23.

Don’t miss the pano one bit. Bottom line: we got exactly what we wanted as we were willing to wait, the dealer was cooperative, and/or had allocations to be flexible with.

I still can’t understand Toyota’s obsession with sticking on an extra cost spoiler on every version of the ES, even the UL, unless you fight tooth and nail to get them to delete it (I experienced the same thing with my 22 ES350 UL). The marginal offset in any mileage improvement on the gas version versus the detraction from appearance - it’s not a sports or even sporty car, and not designed to be - due to the spoiler is ridiculous. Some people like it, especially on an F-sport, I get it, but they Mae it de facto standard and still then charge you as an option. Arrghh.

No spoiler on my 2021 base at delivery or on many of the models in the lot. I had to arrange for it to be added post closing and had to pay a bit more than the factory accessory price. Most units on dealers web sites do not come with spoilers.

Good to know. I wonder if it might be regional (Georgia here). When I bought my ’22 from the dealer’s anticipated delivery every single ES had a spoiler on it, from base to UL. They said that had been the case for some time. Perhaps it’s changed.

Absolutely different now. Look at dealer websites. Most do not have them.
Personally, I wouldn’t leave home without one! Love the styling. To each his own.

Interesting, perhaps from the push back from customers to dealers to the factory.

More than likely, it's due to the changing market. Back in '22, dealers were screwing over their customers with unnecessary add-ons and charging a premium for them. This wasn't only a Lexus issue, but all manufactures were doing it.

We've had zero problems with our pano roof and I'd highly suggest that your friend get it on their ES. I don't see a lot of them with the pano roof and I like that because it's nice to have something different, especially with so many produced and on the road.

It also looks Great with the all black, glass roof with the eminent white pearl because of the contrast in the colors. I wish that they'd have offered atomic Silver in 2022 on the ES because that's what We'd have gotten instead and it would've looked Fantastic together.

Sorry, just thinking out loud there!
