Doesn't Georgia have fun roads? Deal's Gap, Tail of the Dragon, etc? Seems like you could have some fun in the Blue Ridge mountains with your paddle shifters if you're confined to four wheels.

When I had ICE cars w/ paddles, I'd use them for a couple weeks then after that very rarely.

If I pass a vehicle while going uphill and need extra help, I twist the **** on the dash (stupid location) into sport mode and crush the pedal. It downshifts and out and around we go. That works fine.
I figure brakes are less expensive to replace, so I avoid using the drive train to slow down. California summers are often above 100 degrees, and stop-n-go traffic can be brutal on oil and transmission fluid. Since I usually keep vehicles ten years or longer, I will continue using brakes to slow down.
