Yes but the roads you posted aren’t in Georgia. I’ve got another toy that I drive for twisties.

I agree, and use them all the time to avoid overuse of brakes!

When I had ICE cars w/ paddles, I'd use them for a couple weeks then after that very rarely.

I actually use them more often to DOWNshift going uphill since the trans always wants to be in a higher gear creating a lack of power.

If I pass a vehicle while going uphill and need extra help, I twist the **** on the dash (stupid location) into sport mode and crush the pedal. It downshifts and out and around we go. That works fine.

I figure brakes are less expensive to replace, so I avoid using the drive train to slow down. California summers are often above 100 degrees, and stop-n-go traffic can be brutal on oil and transmission fluid. Since I usually keep vehicles ten years or longer, I will continue using brakes to slow down.

For me, seems easier to just use the paddle since mine is already always in SPORT mode.
