Default Premium Audio System Specifications

Lost my 2006 GS 300 with 114,000 miles in a 35=mph ear end collision with a 80+ woman having a seizure. Thankfully no one was injured. Purchased a new 2024 ES 350 with premium package. I've been trying to decide whether I should upgrade the factory speakers, but am on the fence. The factory system is allegedly made by Pioneer. I can't confirm this. It is supposedly a 10 speaker system - 3 in the dash. 3 in the rear shelf and 1 in each door. I can only hear bass in the front door speakers, the treble is found in the front dash. The local car audio tech told me that the system uses a crossover to send only the bass signal to the front door. He told me that replacing the front door speakers with a coaxial speaker would not give me the depth and clarity I would like from the front doors because the signal frequency is restricted to bass by the crossover. The system is not a bad system. i 've ripped my CD collection to a USB mini and my music sounds good, but not as good as it did in my Fiat 124 Spider with 6.5" Infinity Reference coaxials. Perhaps I should leave the system stock?

First, has anyone tweaked the Premium Sound System? If so, what did you do? Was it an improvement?

Second, does anyone know the size of the speakers used in the front corners of the dash? The size of the rear door speakers?

Please share your experience or knowledge about the Premium Audio system with those of us who are not fortunate to have the Mark Levinson system.

Thanks folks.

That isn't correct. The base 10 speaker system speaker configuration is left and right side front dash 2 speaker cone coaxial type (4 speakers), one speaker cone center front dash (1 speaker), left and right front door 1 woofer each (2 speakers), left and right read door 1 each speaker (2 speakers), and rear deck 1 each subwoofer (1 speaker). 4+1+2+2+1=10

For US manufactured ESs, the base audio system is Pioneer. Probably the same for Japan manufactured models for the various international markets not including the US and Canadian markets but I don't know that for sure.
