ES is a fridge. buy it and forget it.
After getting burnet with an Audi, I was skeptical of picking any other brand. Hence I got two new ones. One is the ES350 and then other is the RX350h.
Mazda's are good but unsure of the reliability and the loss of a v6 engine is significant. the cX60 is a 2.5 cyl. Sound will be bad. from my perspective its a big no unless you are ok with the reduced speed. The dash is also sub par.
Do you like SUV more than sedans?
Do you need more space or cargo capacity?
Are you ok with a small dip in reliability?
Are you somewhat unhappy with your ES or want a new unit?
If yes to all or any of those, maybe you should consider the switch.
I personally don't like driving SUV's, so I'll probably never change from a sedan type regardless of brand.

My son has a CX-30 bought new in 2020. The car had every safety option my Lexus had at $30,000.00. Beautiful interior, exterior paint is flawless, a 4 cylinder turbo. A lot of car for the money. Agree that there's no comparison with the Executive Sedan, a different class altogether.

I actually would like to try something new and this suv looks pretty good imo.
I don稚 need more space.
is the the reliability that much better for the lexus?

J.D. Power & Consumer Reports both ranked Lexus #1 in reliability; Mazda ranked #7.
But regardless, as @dezymond wrote "You need to weigh the pros and cons for yourself, not go by the opinion of a forum.". Maybe try a Mazda forum to check for the model pros & cons.
