Let's read between the lines.... The generations of ES prior to this were all six years with a refresh at three. Toyota is no longer offers ICE-only vehicles. I'm sure Lexus will follow and the ES already has a hybrid model.
Therefore, my tea leaves tell me that the 2025 ES was not ready for production. So a few months back they decided to bring back the white "sport" look as "the change" for the 2025 year--throw in a few OEM accessories they already have stocked. We'll see if they add any other doodads, I doubt it, though. However, I'd like to see an electronic rearview mirror and front/rear dash cams as OEM options.
I have a 2014 and was waiting for year 2 of the next model, that is, 2026. Now I might have to wait for 2027 (I don't buy first-year-models). I like my 2014 but I'm a creature-feature person and would like all the latest doodads. =)

In my opinion you may not want to wait for two years as if you see the platform will follow the new NX and RX. The 2023 RX is exactly the same as the 2024 version. no improvements or fixes under the hood. Since the 2026 ES will follow through to the same platform, it is a safer bet to go ahead with the 2026. For me, I got the 2023 version and its working still smooth as butter. had a few minor quirks with a small rattling sound etc but that was fixed by the dealer.

I also do absolutely like the 6 cyl. I don't know how many here love the hybrids. Its just bad really bad. except if you wanna save on gas. I have the RX and its at the very least not as pleasureful to drive compared to the simple 6cyl es 350.

Well as an owner of the new RX 350h, I have to say your opinion on hybrids IS YOUR OPINION. Our 24 RX is light years ahead of the 2017 model we traded in and it's one of the smoothest, quietest vehicles I've ever driven. Oh yeah - side benefit - it's getting nearly 40 mpg and that's a 4,400 lb CUV!.

That strip of black rocker-panel trim on the 2025 white/black F Sport edition truly annoys me. Not because it looks bad, but because they could have offered that part in chrome to us all along in the States but cheaped out. I always felt our cars didn't have enough bling for the style or the price, and was forced to go aftermarket for a similar and probably inferior part. Arrrghh.

Despite the demise of the V6, Lexus just stuffed the 3.5l under the hood of the new TX 550h+.

Putting that into the ES or IS would make too much sense.

Plus, being a plug in, tax credits.

That must be the “invisible hand” moving to buying ding side strips, glossy black splash guards and even a modest, subtle black pin stripe (Atomic Silver ES 350)!

Yup.

But combined 404hp? And 29/28/29 mpg city/highway/combined?

Throw that in an ES or IS and ill put a deposit down today.

I'm a photographer by hobby. My favorite manufacturer is Canon... been doing it for over 10 years.

The consensus for Canon is they don't cannibalize more expensive models to boost their lower tier. I feel Lexus is the same, they could easily put a turbo V6 in a IS or ES to give it even more of a performance edge. But then that would eat into their higher tier sedan (RC, LC? One of those I think).

Its sucks for us, but I get it.

Not even sure it's that. The LC and RC sales volume is pretty tiny at the end of the day. In this case, it's probably the impact on CAFE totals that lower mpg on a reasaonbly high volume model would have on the entire fleet.
