Has anyone had the factory corner dash speakers (3-1/2" non-Mark Levinson system speakers) in a 7th generation ES 350 replaced? If so, your observations please. Was quoted $250 to replace the two corner dash speakers with Kicker C3504 coaxial speakers. Installer claims this will improve sound quality (mids and highs will be cleaner and slightly louder)

they are easy to replace and you can buy kickers to fit for $45 for the pair. check out you tube to show you how.
I just bought a pair but have not installed yet, so I can't tell you how they are yet. I bought them because I thought the speaker was rattling, but I believe it was the streaming music I was playing was in the song. I just bought the car 3 weeks ago also. I don't think I would pay them $250 for such an easy job.

Do your due diligence. Sounds like a sales pitch to me as the majority of aftermarket speakers are 8 Ohms and will sound less loud than factory speakers at 4 Ohms at the same volume setting.
