Driver side mirror hit
#2
Sorry, but other than a mirror from a salvage yard, which might be possible, I think you will have to get a whole new mirror assembly. And the last time I looked for one, the cost was like $1,200 and that may have been for the parts only. That was for the auto folding mirror on a 2021 FSport.

My 2021 Avalon was parked at a restaurant in 2022 and a car parked next to it. The car's passenger opened her door too rapidly. They were parked precisely in the spot where their door just caught the left edge of my driver side mirror and knocked the plastic cover off. They were nice people and tracked me down inside the restaurant to apologize and offer to pay for repairs. I looked at the mirror and the cover and could see no cracking or damage. I snapped it back in place and got their contact info in case it had hidden damage. But the mirror never came apart again while I owned the car. The Avalon had a camera and turn signal light in the housing, but the housing looked like it would be easy to replace without needing to replace the entire mirror assembly.
Looking at the mirror on my ES350, I think it may prove more difficult to snap off and snap on a new cover. Nice that the insurance covered it. The auto-folding mirrors on the ES was one of the things that sold me on replacing the Avalon.
So I have to ask, was your mirror folded when it got broken?
