Default FNG: badge removal question

Question: Does anyone know if the ES 350 on the rear is glued on or pinned?

I'm gonna remove the F-Sport badges (too), and I can see they're glued on w/ foam tape...I MIGHT move one of them to the rear (in place of the ES 350 badges).

It was double sided tape on mine, heat from a hair dryer worked great.

I'm pretty sure they are just held on by adhesive but unless someone has actually removed one I would go to Lexus Parts and have them show you one and/or look behind the emblem from inside the trunk. I have removed a lot of these and have only once seen pins still in use. And that was maybe before I got so cautious, and had to buy a new emblem.

ES 350 held on by adhesive tape. Removed mine with thin fishing line and then cleaned area with cleaner wax. Looks great without it..

Most of the industry now uses double stick tape and glues on badges.

I have an alphabet soup collection of Lexus lettering from debadges on brand new Lexus cars day 1. if you're lucky, the adhesive is so new that it will lift off the paint with minimal cleanup necessary. mine came up w/ the letters. helps to have a warm and humid garage.

I have removed the ES300h and Hybrid badges with a hairdryer and gentle retraction. It is so easy that all of the badges can be reused. I have removed badges on this and two RX350s. The finish is spotless with a little wax/polish.

I must respectfully disagree. There are some that use the old pin style or even a combo (MB uses a pin mount for the three pointed star but taped on emblems otherwise). Just watch some factory manufacturing videos or auto detailing videos where they remove the emblems as well as trim - most at stuck on these days.
