Leather Dash?

Leather Dash?
Wondering if the dash of my new '24 ES350 Lux is leather? I know the seats are.
I remember Lexus being very proud of the leather and stitching on the dash of my '13 ES350 Lux. Did they keep that up?===================================

It's not leather, it's nu-luxe. It is very prone to scratches. For cleaning you should use very soft cloth, slightly wet.

Doubt it. Generally just the seating surfaces are genuine leather. Everything else is the fake stuff which is better anyway.

I don't believe that Lexus has changed the material on the dash since the start of gen 7 cars. Whatever it is, it is so sensitive that one has to be careful getting in and out so as not to scratch or scuff it. Any marking of the dash is very difficult to remove so be careful with your new wheels. BTW, GOOD LUCK with the new car.

Someone remarked on a recent thread that the Japanese market ES's apparently have dashboard faces provided by a different supplier and seem to be more durable. It might have been adasani, who's in the Middle East and may get to see ES's sourced from both countries. While it'd be pricey and still not leather, we presumably could get those parts.

Yes, and then I posted that the material is the same and it scratches.

You can’t fix scratches on the leather surface with Windex. Those were probably dust or they will come back as soon as it dries up.

You have to get the LS for a sedan with a full leather dash (and door panels). That said, I have a ’22 ES350nUL and use a sun shade on it almost daily and I haven’t had any issues with marking or scratching of the dash pad. Hopefully that will continue.

I hope so for your sake. I've been less lucky. I have a '22 ES 350 UL, and I bought the most well-recommended accordiion-style rigid sunshade. Where it contacts the dash, it's left permanent streaks. And that's on the top surface, not the passenger's-side face that's gotten so much criticism (and also a bunch of other marks).

And this is exactly what happened with my car. I also use a folding sun shade, a Covercraft, and it left marks on top AND the front of the dash on the passenger side. However, after wiping them with water over an almost 6 year time period they have disappeared. No marks on the dash and I'm super careful when using the sun shade so it don't drag along the dash. So there is hope for non severe marking.
