Default Advice on buying a CPO ES300h, ~2021-2024

A family member has been considering a new/newer Lexus. We/they have necked it down to a recent year, low mile ES300h. They have asked me for advice and other questions all along the way, and here we are now: Years considered, 2021 to 2024, miles 8k to 17k on them. CPO via dealer.

Anything to consider in that year range about issues or considerations? I kinda doubt it, but felt compelled to be thorough and ask.

I have a 2020, which has a hollow sound when you shut the front door. I don’t care, but a lot of people do. Apparently they fixed that starting in 2022. Also, I believe they updated the infotainment to touch screen, wireless car play, and a wireless charger in 2022. Other than that, not much difference.

That’s helpful because her husband is adamant about touch-screen. He’s a serious tech guy so those details matter to him. He was telling me about that a week ago. It’s her car, but he’s going to make sure it’s spec’d how he likes, too.

Wife and I bought a '21 about 4 months ago. We are still trying to get used to the mouse pad for everything but we aren't there yet. We still find ourselves trying to touch the screen. Wish we had a touch screen but came across a good deal on a CPO that checked all the boxes except the touch screen. If touch screen is a must, you'll want a 2022+ model. In 2022, they introduced the touch screen and it's the only year that has both touch screen and mouse pad. In 2023 the switched over to just a touchscreen, moved the screen closer to the edge of the dashboard, removed the mouse pad, and put cup holders and a charging pad in it's place.
