I moved to my ES from 2 decades of driving German cars to get away from the unreliable, over-complicated, insanely engineered with zero thought to service and repairs, German engines. When you have to engine-out to change the starter motor, you know it's German. When you have plastic parts that disintegrate in the heat in 5 years, you know it's German. When the ride is so harsh you feel every bump in the road, in order to boast about Nürburgring times, you know it's German. When outright performance is priority one and serviceability and reliability are a distant also-ran, you know it's German. No thanks.
