Hilarious! Quad exhaust? One per cylinder, I guess!

Maybe never if the new Gen 8 is all show but disappointing performance. Dread the prospect of a rough 4cyl engine or, worse yet, only hybrid like the Camry. Then I keep my 2021 forever. .

I will play devi's advocate. One of the things that I think mark a great car brand, is that it is not changed so often. You buy a Ford and every two years, it is redesigned. Your car looks dated right away. Lexus is really good at keeping the bones of their cars. Would I want to buy a 2024 Lexus for $50,000 and just a few months later, a totally redesigned version comes in 2025 that just shows that my car is "last years?" The better luxury brands tend to keep their basic lines longer, and I appreciate that. I don't like the cars that totally redesign themselves every few years so they can sell a "new and improved" model. It hurts all the other owners IMHO.

See Hyundai and Kia for great examples of rapidly changing designs, on the same model with no corporate identity.

Agreed. My beautiful 8 year old Audi can hardly be told from new. Get complements on it all the time.

Not a fan of new Mercedes design in general. Everything is just so round and almost indistinguishable nowadays among the German big 3. If Lexus goes this route, would be very disappointing.

I don't know which Audi you have, but I think the A6 is one of the most graceful, well proportioned and understated cars out there. If Lexus built it, I'd have bought it.

Agree. And I love the Audi too. If that is what I want, then that is what I should have bought. But I would not want my Lexus to look like an Audi.

Just curious, What about the reliability experience? I have a few friends with Audi's (TT, A4, A5, Q5, Q7, R8) and they all like the brand/ride; but maintenance and costly repair costs are the frequent complaints.

I hear that often and I think it’s a legitimate complaint. But my Audi3 cabriolet is now 8 years old. Not a lot of mileage on it. Not a single repair or problem with it other than a couple of very minor recalls. Still looks like new in condition and style. Upscale cars that are not mass produced seem to retain their fresh looks longer. Our Lexuses are good that way.

I feel like that photoshop artist is making the rounds, here is the surprisingly similar new Nissan Altima! Definitely some differences in detail but same vibe. Feel like this one has more Camry SE starting point feel to it though

I was thinking the same thing! It has a Very Benz look to it and I think that it looks alright but I'd hate to be the person that has to fit in back of that. The door opening looks like you'd have to be related to Gumby to get into the back seat. I will say one thing though, if I bought one of those, I'd Definitely invest in some good wheel locks because those wheels are Gorgeous!

As far as an updated Camry look for the ES.............I wouldn't be mad at that because I think that the Camry's look good and the updates freshen it up a bit. I like the Hammerhead front end more than I'd care to admit too.
