Thanks - I went with the online brochure for the interior color (it didn't mention macadamia). But I think you're right.

Hello, all. Brand new to the Lexus family! Purchased a new '24 ES350 Ultra Luxury yesterday. Obsidian w/ palomino leather and brown walnut trim. Will upload pictures when temps drop to <100 degrees and I can stand being outside.

Couldn't be happier with the car but am I an idiot for extending the factory warranty to 8yr/100k miles. Cost was ~$3,500. Second guessing my decision.

Welcome! you'll enjoy your new ride!

On the warranty, its an insurance. You buy it hoping you wont need it, but if you do you have it. Plus it usually comes with other perks like covered maintenance upto certain mileage and time. With all the electronics it's a peace of mind.

Congrats and welcome to the "Lexus family!" I advise my family and friends to buy Toyota/Lexus vehicles and NOT get the extended warranty. When buying the most reliable brand on the road, it's a poor bet to extend the warranty. Most won't ever have trouble that will be covered, and even when they do, the insurance providers will always do their best to make sure your claim will be denied for any number of BS reasons (one oil change not done on time...there goes your engine warranty)! Too, most often, major trouble won't occur until the extended warranty has expired. Why bother with all that? I advise people to take their chances, and take care of their Lexus, and it will take care of them.

My extended family has been driving Toyota/Lexus vehicles since 1980, and not a single one has needed any major work.

I just purchased the tx 550H+. I too purchased the extended 10 year 100k warranty but from zurich for $3,200, only because it is a 1st year, rev1 car for lexus. Well, I will have peace of mind if nothing else. When our infotainment screen went out on our BMW xt JUST before warranty expired, it would have beena $22,000 repair!!!!! no thanks BMW......

Yep, all the mechanics I follow Scotty Kilmer and The Car Care Nut, say that you should not buy an extended warranty. The Lexus has a four-year 50,000 mile warranty. https://www.lexus.com/warranty

If you maintain it well, and change the oil & filter frequently (more than the maintenance book states), the vehicle will last a long time. Otherwise, invest the $3,500 in an emergency fund for maintenance & repairs. In addition, find an Independent Lexus-trained mechanic who can work on your car beside the dealer.

I would try to get my money back if you feel it is not money well spent. Why, well it's a Lexus with tried and true reliability and the relentless pursuit of perfection!

Good evening - new to Lexus with my recent purchase of a 2022 ES 350 Fsport Handling, in Ultrasonic Blue Mica and charcoal gray interior, leather(ette?) seats, and Mark Levinson sound system. I am interested to know what the soft material on the top of the dashboard is, and any recommendations you may have for cleaning and preserving the leather, plastic, and soft dash material.
Thanks in advance!

microfiber dampened with water. that's it. no chemicals, no this or that spray needed.

and be very... very careful as even mild wiping with a cloth is enough to permanently scar/scratch your dashboard.

Question, is the dash of my new 2024 ES350 Lux leather?
The one on my 2013 ES350 Lux certainly was ...
