okay, the GS killing rumor in 2019 is just that, a rumor with absolutely zero evidence to back it. yes, Europe ditched the GS, but i just dont see that happening. the ES is NOT a GS replacement, but with some tweaking it absolutely could be possible, maybe even probable eventually.
the awd ES in 2020, again, there is still no absolute no concrete hard evidence aside from whispers here and there. yes, the ES has a hump in the middle, and i really dont think they put it there for fun, so i do see an AWD variant of the ES eventually down the pipe, possibly with the refresh in 2021, but who knows. what im REALLY hoping for, even if its just a small glimmer, that the ES will be going RWD soon, i know that wont happen, but god damn i wish it would, because at that point, it could eat the GS.
havent heard anything about an ES450h either. hmmm...
i will say this though, aside from the 2019 GS-F showing up, there is not a 2019 regular GS showing up on the radar yet. is it being discontinued? doubtful, but Lexus is kinda unpredictable these days and the GS is getting a bit long in the tooth so its time for a new one.
