Default Current Lease Offer on 2019 ES Ultra Luxury

Hey all current Lexus owner of a GS-F and in the past an IS350 F-Sport so am familiar with Lexus' great quality, fit and finish. Anyway, looking to get into a 2019 ES Ultra Luxury.

Current Offer from dealer, Red with Flaxen interior MSRP of $53k giving it to me for about $51k. Car is loaded with HUD, Triple Beam Headlamps, Panoramic Roof, Nav with Mark Levinson, 14 Way adjustable Drivers Seat. Body Side moldings
45 Month Lease Offer can get out after 39 Months, Money Factor .00045, Taxes Rolled in, $1k Down includes First month's payment, Dealer Fee and new plate fee.
Monthly Payment is $688 at 10,000 Miles per year.

Is this a good deal based on what you guys are getting? or would I be better off waiting for December to Remember? Kind of want the car now, but don't want to make a stupid move considering I absolutely fell in love with the car lol. Waiting to hear from you guys, and if you think its good, going to leave my deposit tomorrow!

Thanks for the help!

Are you parting with the GSF? I'm in NJ and wouldn't mind talking numbers... (I have a GS350 AWD but I browse these forums).

And if you absolutely love it and there isn't anything necessarily holding you back, go for it. But I'd wait a few more months to Christmas time.

hi, sounds like a nicely loaded car,
some thoughts to think about
my experience tells me never do over a 36 month lease, so in the 4 year range to long

probably residuals will also be better on 36

try if you decide that lease works for you, that you will sign and drive at the rate and term

i would wait till the december event and try to land a loaded es for 600 /mo

enjoy the process

Lol! No not currently selling the F, its my baby haha and also my every day car. the ES is actually for my father. Old man never treats himself and is driving an very old looking 2011 Avalon. Trying to pay back a lil ya know

yeah was thinking of December to remember as well. seeing as these lease prices are in GS territory I definitely think Lexus is positioning this car to take over the GS which is unfortunate. since I was 5 years old, when the 98 GS came out, my god I've always loved that model. would be sad to see it go.

honestly i would shoot for 450 per month with 0 down so its more comparable to an Accord only makes Mathematical sense

Funny math? How many Accords have a $53k sticker?

Because these cars just came out, there are hardly any incentives for dealerships to sell them. Most dealerships won't even sell below MSRP.

If you can wait for December, you could probably save a couple hundred dollars a month on the payment. More incentives and more supply.

Pretty sure you can get 2,500 off MSRP with no sweat.

I hear you but still gotta be realistic.

If dealer dont want to bring the price down I second the previous advice of waiting till December to Remember.

Typically, a good lease deal follows the 1% rule - 1% of the sticker price with $0 down is the one you want to go with.

For example, I'm leasing a 2017 VW Jetta base model $174 a month with zero down and 12K miles/year. The sticker price was 19K OTD.

So for a 2019 ES UL with MSRP $53,000.00 You're saying a good price would be $530.00/month, and ZERO down?? Lol. Maybe in another world...Or a model that's going away like the 2018..

If it's a current year model as opposed to clearing inventory, you may be pressed to follow that rule. Ideally, I wouldn't spend a few more dollars than the 1% rule.

If you're paying 700 for a 53K (MSRP, which would be my OTD offer if I were negotiating a deal), you're doing it wrong.

I don't lease but this is interesting. Since residual value is a critical part of the formula, isnt this also brand sensitive?? The same rules cant possibly apply to both Lexus and Hyundai as an example.
