Unfortunately you cannot disable that. The front facing camera has a fish-eye lens, its prone to glare from the sun and bright light pretty much all the time, which will make the camera unusable. It has the same purpose of a lens hood on a camera lens, also helps to break the image as objects appear closer in that area.
FYI: you can program your garage door to the home link system, if you did not already know this.
Nice catch I fought with it for an hour yesterday and gave up. Never had issues programming Homelink before. Will try again today after changing batteries on the remote.

You may need to press the learn mode on the garage motor, before the home link system can properly pair to the car.

Here is an incompatiblity story:
- 2019 ES 350 HomeLink Garage door opener
- Genie garage door opener with rolling code (made after 2011)
- Genie 3 button remote (transmitter)
Genie 3 button remote transmits at a frequency that Door opener can read (i.e. open and close), but HomeLInk on ES can't recognize and register. Every time I tried to program ES, it would register as Fixed Code, thus only solid green light, instead of flashing green light. ff you have struggled with programming, you know what I am talking about . New batteries, resetting door opener to new rolling code, resetting HomeLink didn't solve the issue. I gave up and called the dealership for help.
Lexus Tech Specialist came to the house with box full of remotes (complimentary service) and tried couple of different remotes, Finally, the one that worked was "Clicker KLIK1U". He programmed the Clicker first to my garage door opener and used it to program HomeLink. Interestingly, Clicker KLIK1U is a very old model and seems like it has been discontinued. I ordered one from Ebay for $28 for future use when ES needs a new battery.
Thought I would share this for anyone with similar issue.
Just picked my 2019 Ultra luxury package...waited 4 weeks for the color combo I wanted (Atomic silver/ Chateau). Didn't get much discount. Dallas has always been a hot market for Lexus. I echo all positive reviews about ride quality, finish etc. My only gripe is the touch pad. I thought mouse controls on my 2013 ES was bad, until I tried the touch pad. Very poor decision on Lexus' part not to go with wheel design. Hopefully, it's just a learning curve.

I’ve got the exact same on order!
Can you comment re the efficacy of the noise reduction wheels?
Noise reduction wheels- I don't know the difference because I didn't drive Premium ES with same brand tires on same road at same speed (Standard Premium comes with 17" wheels compared to 18" on Ultra Luxury).
However, the cabin is much quieter than the outgoing model. I have to assume that it's because of the wheels, dampers and up to 94% of body covered with noise deafening material.

I drove an ultra lux and f sport back to back, same roads... couldn't notice a difference. The car is so incredibly quiet in both trim levels. I think the noise reductions wheels are meant to not echo on larger impacts, right? That might be where you hear it.
