No worries. I bookmark both😁. Im not yet an ES owner but I would guess that lighting is controlled through the vehicle settings somewhere in the info system. In the RX, i go Menu/Settings etc.

I don't have a 2019 ES, either, but on my 2017 ES, the ambient lighting control is in the settings for the multi-information display in the main instrument cluster. Perhaps, someone with a 2019 ES will reply, but, if not, check the settings for the multi-information display, which are accessed via the steering wheel buttons.
Where is the ambient light control on the Lexus es 350 Luxury sedan?
Page 409 of the manual : (C= dealer adjustable) I have the F Sport, so it isn't part of any package. Is there a detent on any of the dashboard, or interior courtesy lamp switches?

I think you may be confusing the ambient lighting with the other normal interior lighting on the ES. According to the Lexus website, the ES350 Luxury and ES350 Ultra Luxury have the ambient lighting. The base ES350 does not include ambient lighting, and it does not appear that the ES350 F-Sport includes ambient lighting. The website does not make it clear as to whether the hybrid models include ambient lighting.
How do you control the glove box lamp, or the light in the center console? If the headlights are on, they are funtional too.
What are you looking to control? It doesn't change colors, it doesn't offer dim or bright. According to the owner's manual, it's on unless you ask the dealer to disable it.
(actually on our RC F Sport, I think they're on all the time, just not too visible during daylight.)
I suspect that the Luxury trim level does not include ambient lighting. I cannot find it in customization or vehicle settings.
The ES350 Luxury does have ambient lighting. I believe that it is also available as an extra cost option (along with wood trim) on the base ES.
From the Lexus website:
"2019 ES 350 LUXURY The ES 350 Luxury offers elevated style with an interior trimmed in perforated leather, wood accents and inviting ambient lighting."
The ambient lighting is pretty subtle. Unless it is quite dark outside, you might not even notice that it is there. It turns on automatically when the headlights are turned on.
