I was very happy with the dealer in how they treated me throughout the whole process. Being a first time Lexus buyer I can say that I, "Experienced Amazing!" Heh The same can't be said for the local dealer I wanted to try to buy from to keep it local. I had to drive almost 100 miles to this dealer, but it was well worth it. The only option missing on it is the Triple Beam headlights, which even though they're outrageously priced I wanted for the coolness factor. Within 150 miles of here I haven't found one ES 350 Luxury with the Triple Beams. Most Luxury Hybrids have them along with the 3 or 4 Ultra Luxury ES 350's that are out there. That's the other thing I couldn't believe, almost no UL's around here. I'd have gone with that had there been one out there in the color combo I wanted. True, they do option up the Luxuries in our area to have all the same options as a UL, but I like the Semi-Aniline leather and wouldn't have minded the Lateral Performance Dampers.

I'm turning in my 2016 Avalon Limited which I'll miss because it really was (and still is) a great car. Someone is going to get a great vehicle since I take immaculate care of my vehicles. It still smells new inside!

I can't wait to pick up "Lexi" tomorrow though. If there are any lurkers reading this thread in the SE WI area looking to get a 2019, PM me and I'll tell you where I got mine and what dealers to avoid.

Sounds like you got a good deal. That is an awesome color combination in my humble opinion. We are enjoying ours. We also wanted the triple beams for the cool factor, but also for the improved illumination. We have them on our NX and they really are terrific. Oh well, the standard lights seem really good too.

Enjoy your new ride!

The best no haggle deal I can find on a UL es350 is 10% off msrp + $2250 incentive.

$53,983.00 MSRP to $46,733

I haven't decided if I should just stay with a Luxury model instead.

Today, I too finally pulled the trigger and closed the deal on a 2019 ES350 Ultra Luxury. I actually went with another dealer that matched my best offer of 12.6% off MSRP. This dealer had the color combo I wanted, Atomic Silver with Chateau. The originally dealer that offered me the 12.6% off had the Silver w/ Black interior. The MSRP was $53,435 and selling price of $46,702 (before $4000 rebate).

Also, pulled the trigger today. Base with premium package msrp $45,217. No dealer add-ons. Atomic Silver with Chateau. Without any rebates my selling price was $39,200. The other dealer I was working with said they could beat that price, but I didn't like the manager, I wasn't going to hassle back and forth over a couple of bucks, and the selling dealership was already in the process of and getting my car on their lot. Bonus - it's the closest dealer to me.

Date Purchased 8/31/2019
  • Location(State): Michigan
  • Trim (Luxury, UL, Fsport,....etc.): Base with Premium package
  • MSRP: $45,217
  • Selling price before Tax Title License (TTL): $39,200 - this is without any Lexus cash/rebates
I want to thank everyone on this board with all the information. I started out about a month ago at 9% off of MSRP!

MSRP 41,119 for a base 2019 ES 350
$34,666 before tax and tag, but including Lexus cash/all other fees.

Good deal?

Looks good to me. I would have pulled the trigger for that. Plus you got a car that did not have a lot of unwanted options. Seems like so many cars have $1,000 to $2,000 of unwanted packages and options I don't appreciate and don't want to have foisted on me.

You have about 2-3% left on the table, but if your happy where your at, it is better then alot of folks, especially in a dealer nonsense fee state like FL

For me, it was easiest to compare my price to others on this board if I only looked at the % off the MSRP. I didn't include rebates. And I'd take out the doc fee, acquisition fee and any other fee, just so you can compare apples to apples. I think three of us got between 12-13% off the MSRP before rebates or fees this past week.

Thank you for the insight everyone. We worked on the price a little more and had them include some Lexus all weather mats. Very happy with the car.

Always get the all inclusive price, fees etc, especially in certain areas of the country...Florida.

Dealer A: Discounts up $1500 off but with a $800 fee
Dealer B: Discounts you $1k off no fees

Dealer A might sound great, but theyre just trying pull a bait and switch basically.

Always always make sure the fee is legit, or tell them hard pass/you can eat it.
No nitrogen, not protection plans, extended warranties those are always not worth it, unless you can provide some kind of material justification for it and legit read the T&Cs. Plus certain things like extended warranties can be purchased for less before the normal warranty is up.

Rebates, Mfg Cash, trunk money always of course take it with a truckload of Terms and Conditions. The ES cash only applies only if you pay cash or get financing elsewhere and of course varies by trim.

________

That's a good point. I did ask doc fees. And when it got down to the three dealers, I specifically told them no adds on or I would walk. And did get a provisional bill of sale as recommended here. But you make an excellent point.

Any deal updates? I have an initial offer on an ultra luxury. Has basically every option.

MSRP 54,488
Dealer discount 5923.20
Rebate 2250
New price 46,314.80

$489 doc fee (will get rid of that)
Taxes and license

Out the door $52,049.42

Thoughts?
