Nowadays the most effective strategy for getting the maximum % off MSRP is usually doing the price negotiating via email with the internet sales manager or a dealer staff sales person. Most of your shopping for a specific car model and equipment can be done online too. I don't bother with Truecar or Costco because their discounts are ho hum.

Good Morning. New member here. Just took delivery on a base model with a few small options (trunk mat, cargo net, all weather mats, bumper applique, 18" wheels with locks) and paid almost exactly $4,000 below sticker.

Not if you don't give them your phone number. I did this helping my son buy a Subaru Forester, contacting 4 dealers in the area via email. Only called the dealer with best price. You do get put on their email list, but I just set up a rule on my Outlook to send them directly to the Deleted folder so I won't see them.

I`d expect the selling discount to be around 10% on average, dip a bit low (so maybe near 15%) right before the end of March (Q1), and then stabilize again until Summer to Remember season. The only factors that would buck the trend is if they have any issues with the supply chain. If your gonna lease, i`d say start now to pick up by March. Special Orders etc expect the company line which is sticker minus any applicable rebates at delivery (exceptions to the this rule apply).

It seems the lower end equipped ones are probably getting bigger discounts resulting from lower demand.

Not sure about other areas, but both dealers I worked with offered a bigger percentage discount on 350's with more optional equipment. Not to mention, they had much more difficulty finding a base model in my color choices (black, grey or silver w/black int). I had to wait 3 days for mine and could have had multiple immediate choices on a higher priced models. Just not interested in 90% of the options.

2019 ES ultra Luxury package
2019 ES Ultra Luxury package MSRP# 53330. Dealer discount 5k and 1k rebate from Lexus. Total drive out is $50288 (included Tax+TTL). It is a good deal or not? Anyone bought the same option for ES 2019 please advice. Thanks.

Had two offers today for a 2019 300h. Took the first since we didn’t really care about the extra features in the higher MSRP price. Thank you to posters here, particularly #22 for giving us goals.
