Default 7ES window tint thread, share your tint details here (merged threads)

7ES Members,

With summertime upon us, I'd like to have a single point of reference for all the tint questions that will come. If you've had your ES tinted, please upload pictures to this thread. Questions about ES tint will be merged here as well to consolidate Q&A

Please list:
- % tint
- color of your interior (does make a big difference in how dark tint appears)
- type of tint if you know it (smoke, dyed, metalized, ceramic, etc)
- brand of tint if you know it (3M, Solarguard, Lumaster, etc)

Default 2019 Es300h window tinting

So I read there was problems tinting these new Lexus something about a film already being on them and be carful not to put a blade on it to clean them
so I brought my new 19 Es300h to get tinted
and told him to be carful
any he says yes you are right and he has to be very careful to clean the glass and not use any blades to clean it
it’s just taking twice as long to get done
i am here waiting
will let you know the outcome
50% CTX35 sides and rear

take it to a good shop the prep will be most important since they should use no blades and the front windows for example tucked down behind the door panel

Did you do the ceramic yourself?

Out of curiosity, what did the ceramic tint set you back?

I think the ceramic is a paint coating. Similar to a long term very hard wax and not a reference to the tint.

Default Anyone Tint the windows and what's the %?

I am looking to tint both of my rear windows and the back, but wasn't sure how much % i want to do. 5% is way too dark and 20-25% seems ok. I am afraid at night might be too dark. Anyone have a recommended the right % to tint?
Thanks

I had mine tinted to 35% Which is the legal limit here. I also had llumar air 80 put on the windshield and sunroof. It makes a noticeable difference in heat reduction. I have no trouble with night time visibility at all and the mirrors still auto dim.
