My first bruise...

Thanks! Wow! 2 inches is HUGE! Probably going from 7 or 8 inches down to 5 or 6.

I think you might be misinterpreting the statement that the 2019 ES is 2 inches lower. When the Generation 7 ES was announced, I recall reading that the height of the vehicle was about 2 inches lower than was the height of the Generation 6 ES, but the ground clearance difference was well under 1 inch. The rest of the difference was because the distance from the car's floorboards to its roof was shortened.

But watching it again, it's not clear to me that he's talking about ground clearance. About 15 seconds later he talks about the height of the hoods.
Both the 2018 and the 2019 are 57 inches high, so he's not talking about height.

According to Edmunds, the height of the Generation 6 ES is 57.1", and the height of the 2019 ES is 56.9".
For what it is worth, the ground clearance for the Generation 6 ES is listed at 6.1". I have been unable to find a ground clearance number for the 2019 ES, but I can't imagine that it would only be 4.1", which is what it would have to be if it was, in fact, 2" lower than that for the Generation 6 ES.

I lost my confidence in the accuracy of the information presented in the Redline "review" when he was talking about the "leather" seats in the F-Sport ES, which has NuLuxe, not leather seats. I admit that I didn't watch the entire review, but, in just the parts that I did watch, there were at least a couple of other instances where he presented inaccurate information about the car.

Ground clearance is not 2 inches lower, the overall vehicle is 2 inches lower. A sedan has 5-6 inches of ground clearance, can't lower a sedan 2 inches from the factory.

It was a mobile repair service that had great reviews. It took about 2 hours. I’m just making sure the paint fully cures overnight, so no driving it today. Sections of the spoiler were sanded and repainted to match the ultra white tricoat. They also repaired the bottom part of the spoiler and touched up minor rock chips. It was very smooth and blended. I cannot see any imperfection. The paint is guaranteed for life of vehicle.
Here is another example of what was repaired - underneath the front spoiler, which many of us have done when we bottom out off of a steep incline or decline, when we go over too fast...it happens.
Bottom of front spoiler, before repair
Bottom of front spoiler, after repair
Those in Orange County, CA, feel free to message me if you want to know who did the work. Highly recommended for mobile repairs. Anything else major, that would require replacing and repainting the bumper, I would go the traditional body shop route. My repair was “easy” by their standards.
