The location of the damage on your car's bumper made it a good candidate for that kind of repair. With the damage being so low on the bumper and with it being below the point where the plane of the bumper changes, any minor color mismatch would be much more difficult to notice than if the repaired area had been higher up on the bumper or near where the bumper meets the front fenders.
