Ultimately, there is no right or wrong answer to the question of whether it is worthwhile to get paint protection film.

Some are very particular about the finishes on their cars. For those, paint protection film does offer real protection against paint chips, scratches, scuffs, and environmental contaminants. Others consider their cars for more utilitarian purposes, and paint chips, scratches, and touch-ups that don't match perfectly don't bother them. For those in the first group, spending $1000, $2000, or more is worth the benefits that paint protection film provides. For those in the second group, spending that money gives them little value.

For those who do see value in paint protection film, the more important considerations are getting a complete package that does protect parts of the car that are most vulnerable, getting a high quality film with a good warranty, having it installed by someone who does quality work, and paying a reasonable price to have the film installed.

I think it is worth doing at least for the front end and rocker panels. It is less than half the cost of a full wrap and will provide the most protection. I chose
Xpel as the wrap.
