According to the web pages both are compatible with 7th generation ESs and the projected image that you chose look the same. V1s are cheaper ($45) than V2s ($80) but V2s "utilizes a new technology that is able to produce a crispier image" ... with "Swiveled projectors to wind down the perfect image".

After reading up on courtesy/puddle lights here, I ordered the V2 set. They are surprisingly crisp and bright!
I didn't look too far into the V3 just because they produce different images, but it sounds like they have some circuitry upgrades.
As for how they look during the day, they are certainly visible. I checked them out in full sun yesterday while I was out running errands, and here's a pic in my garage with the garage door open...

I thought these logo lights were kinda cheesy but also really wanted them 😂. Sometimes cheesy is fun!
For $25 this set of 4 these knock offs look pretty darn bright and crisp. The image is 12” x 8” and looks better in person than the photo. Durability is tbd so I’ll stash the originals in the garage just in case.

Those look nice and bright and for $25, you can't go wrong! I also agree with you that sometimes cheese is not a bad thing (unless you're lactose intolerant )!
Can you Please give us a link to those because I might get some of that cheese too!
