Today I found out if you sit with the break hold on for too long it starts flashing warnings that you need to put your foot back on the break.
Now I'm curious what happens if you don't. I'll have to try that soon to find out.
with active cruise on and brake hold, was in stopped/crawling traffic. if stopped too long w brake hold on, it will disengage smart cruise , and apply the Elec park brake. It released the EPB as soon as i hit the gas i f i remember correctly.
BTW
I love using the smart cruise in slow crawling traffic( or at least used to in my old vehicle) , it would start moving and stop very smoothly. and could initiate move same as Lexus by either tapping gas or pressing resume button.
This car has a hard time modulating the braking, it feels like the Lexus computer just got its learner's permit :

I just realized the other day that when my key fob gets in close proximity outside of the vehicle the welcome lights in the exterior door handles will glow faintly. That was the same day that I discovered that on a really cold day that (if equipped) the rapid seat heaters and steering wheel the system will start the pre-heat process before the ignition is turned. One day last week I kept hearing this 'buzzing' sound in my garage and couldn't figure out what it was... after a few seconds of checking around my hot water tank and garage door opener I realized that it was my car. Within seconds of starting the car and driving off the driver seat and steering wheel were toasty - I mean literally seconds. Nice feature.

They glow more than faintly

Auto brights/regular headlights. And they work really well at changing.

Today I learned if your press the start/stop engine button while the gear shift is in neutral it will go straight to accessory mode. I love this feature since I wait in the car every day for a few minutes when I pick up my kids from school.

I hated the fact that the infotainment system had to restart when I turned off the engine in park and then turned on accessory mode.

I have always been told that's not good for the car.

Two things I've noticed in the first 4 days with the car.

1. Move the turn signal half way and it will just flash 3 times and turn off. Not sure of the point. To me it doesn't seem like long enough to safety indicate a lane change.

2. When turning on a turn signal or turning the wheel with the headlights on an additional headlight points to the side you are turning.

I figured it would be bad for the engine or transmission. I've just always been told not to turn off the car without it being in park.

It’s good for quick lane changes...you can actually have the dealer change the number of blinks from 3 (default) to Off or 4-7x.

Below are links to lists of personalized settings you can have your dealer adjust on your first service. Just fill it out and give it to your service advisor.
