Default weird remote key issue

This is for my 2 month old 2019 ES300h. Today I find that none of the key buttons work when I press them. But the small red light on the top of the key still on whenever I press keys (to me, I think it proves that the battery is Ok). I can still lock or unlock the car from the touch sensor on the door **** by putting this key in my pocket. Since I bought it at the end of January, I have been using the touch sensor to lock and unlock the car. Do not remember if I have used key buttons.
Any thoughts? Is this a problem need to be taken care by dealer?

I would definitely call the dealer service department. Can you even start the car? What about the 2nd key fob?

No other problems. Car still starts as normal when I push the start button on the panel. Will try 2nd key tonight after getting home.
Just want to check if this might be some simple setting issue, such as button locking which I accidentally chose.

Try this before going to the dealer: Press and hold the "Lock" button for one second. The locks should cycle once, which means your Lexus has accepted the remote. If the locks cycle twice, the reprogram was not successful; start over from the beginning. Close and open the driver's door to complete the reprogram on the remote.

Let us know if it works...

There is a way via Techstream to turn off the wireless remote control but if it was working before and it stopped.. something must be wrong with the key.. if the battery was low then there would be a notification on the dashboard letting you know that the battery is about to die.. if bc6152 guide doesnt work, you'll have to take it in so they can either activate it or reset the wireless remote control.
